Flying over to Dajuma?
With the rapid development of Bali over the last decade, the traffic on the road from Java to Denpasar has been constantly increasing, reaching sometimes the level of capital cities in the world. Consequence: when it was possible to reach the airport from Dajuma in less than one hour and a half ten years ago, it is just unthinkable today: we need 2 hours and a half and sometimes more. OK the landscapes all along the road are really splendid with an alternance of rice-fields, sandy sea shores and Batukaru volcano as background. But anyway, definitively too long !
Today the situation is changing: the authorities have decided the construction of 3 big bridges aimed at eliminating the main black points on the road. By jumping above 3 deep volcanic valleys, all the heavy trucks from Java will no longer be in a position to slow down the traffic. One bridge out of 3 is currently finished and open to the traffic. The 2 others are expected to be completed by the end of the year. Definitively a good news !
